How do I set up Dankore Vault on my iPhone or iPad?

Install the free Bitwarden app from the App Store, choose Self-hosted, type our server address, and sign in. Step by step.

You use your vault on an iPhone or iPad through the free Bitwarden app. It is made by Bitwarden, Inc. We are not part of Bitwarden.

Before you start, please accept your invitation email and choose your master password. See how Dankore Vault works.

Install the app

1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Search for Bitwarden Password Manager.
3. Check that it says it is made by Bitwarden Inc.
4. Tap Get, then confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple password.
5. When it finishes, tap Open.

Tell the app to use our server

This is the most important part. The app is set to Bitwarden's own server at first. You need to point it at ours.

1. On the first screen, look for words like "Logging in on: bitwarden.com".
2. Tap it. A short list appears.
3. Choose Self-hosted.
4. In the box called Server URL, type https://secure-vault.dankore.com exactly.
5. Tap Save.

Sign in

1. Type the email address your invitation was sent to.
2. Tap Continue.
3. Type your master password. This is the one you chose for your vault, not the password for our website.
4. Tap the button to sign in, usually called Log in with master password.

You should now see your vault. If it is empty, that is normal for a new vault.

Turn on Face ID (optional)

Once you are signed in, you can open the vault with your face or finger. Then you do not need to type your master password every time.

1. Tap Settings at the bottom of the app.
2. Look for Account security.
3. Turn on Unlock with Face ID or Unlock with Touch ID.

The app will still ask for your master password now and then. That is a good thing. It helps you keep remembering it.
